Participants arrived on Saturday 8th August in the afternoon, and the school opened with dinner and a welcome evening session. Courses for everyone ran from Sunday to Wednesday morning, with departure after lunch.

The Summer School welcomed anyone who wanted to spend a few days in a creative, busy and welcoming atmosphere guided by spiritual principles of friendship, thoughtfulness and kindness, where curiosity and questions were welcome. Participants could expect to be surprised and inspired by the experience.

The programme provided for all ages from babies upwards, with inspirational devotionals, informative plenaries, afternoon workshops, sports and swimming, good food and varied evening sessions for everyone, including a late-evening poetry, stories and music session to finish off each day.

A BIG thank you

A BIG thank you to everyone who attended the Southern Summer School this year… in whatever capacity.

Your presence as a participant, facilitator, coordinator, teacher, animator or volunteer added to the energy and creative atmosphere of the school, which was a resounding success.

We look forward to welcoming you in 2027 to Downside School to further unfold the plans of the Universal House of Justice and make your contribution to:
